At the Swiss market office in Hünenberg, over 35 people focus on providing a full range of ophthalmic supplies to physicians in Switzerland. Offering multi-lingual customer service and technical service representatives, Alcon's Swiss market office is dedicated to efficient, accurate and timely support of its customers. Alcon Pharmaceuticals, Ltd.
Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (APL) in Hünenberg, was established in 1972 and sells and distributes products to over 50 affiliates and over 80 export markets. APL is also the base for the EDC (European Data Center) which provides I.T. applications and operations support for all of Alcon's locations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, APL is home to Alcon Credit Corporation, which provides financial services for the Alcon Group. The facility occupies more than 16,400 square feet where approximately 100 Alcon employees dedicate themselves to these global operations.

Located in Schaffhausen, in 2000 Alcon Grieshaber was formed by the merger of two companies. In the approximately 12,000 square foot research, development and manufacturing facility, 100 Alcon employees, who specialize in the micro-mechanical field, focus on delivering precision surgical instrumentation to the globe.
