Nutrition is very important to maintain healthy eyes. Like the rest of your body, your eyes need the right amounts of certain nutrients to work their best.

ICaps® Multivitamin and Multimineral with Lutein and Zeaxanthin can help.

There are four important things to remember:

ICaps® Multivitamin & Multimineral contains lutein and zeaxanthin, the primary carotenoids proven to be in the retina and the lens of the eye, which have been suggested to be important for eye health.

ICaps® Multivitamin & Multimineral contains zinc, an essential nutrient for healthy eyes. While other vitamins may also contain this important ingredient, the ICaps® formula features zinc in the form of zinc acetate, which is the form most easily absorbed by your body.

The ICaps® formula provides time-released dosing. Time-released dosing allows the ingredients to dissolve gradually over time, so that your body may retain more. In addition, the slower release may result in less stomach upset.

Who is at risk for age-related eye complications?


People over 55:
The older a person is, the more the person's eyes have been exposed to sunlight. With our bodies often lacking nutrients, we may have less ability to fight free radicals as we grow older.

Women:
Due to hormonal changes after menopause, women have more risk of developing certain age-related eye complications than men in the same age range.

People with light eyes:
People with light-coloured irises are more likely to develop eye complications. It is thought that this higher risk might also have to do with lifetime exposure to sunlight.

Smokers:
Studies have shown a connection between smoking and the development of age-related eye complications.

Family History:
Risk for AMD may be genetic. If anyone in your family suffered from this condition, be sure to talk to an eye care professional.

Diabetes:
Circulatory problems and blood vessel damage may make people with diabetes more prone to unhealthy eyes. Diabetics should be especially watchful for any changes in eyesight.
