Redness of the eye
Burning of the eye
Tearing
Swelling or redness of the inner eyelids
Blurred vision
Scratchy feeling in the eye
Sensitivity to light
Sensation that something is in your eye

Allergy eyes are caused
by common allergens

Allergens can be almost anything to which your body is sensitive. However, there are some common ones you should be aware of, because one way to help manage your eye allergies is to try to minimize or avoid your exposure to allergens.

Pollen

Pollen

Trees, flowers, grasses and weeds all release pollen into the air which is carried by the wind. When pollen counts are high, usually during the Spring and Fall, you may experience allergies, whether or not you have ever had allergies before.

Pet hair

Pet hair

Pet hair, particularly from cats can, cause allergies. The tiny, dandruff-like scales called "dander" that pets shed everyday can remain airborne in the house and can become trapped in furniture and carpets.
